First step to managing your ego is to be aware of your ego.
Notice what feeds your ego. The more you feed your ego, the more control your ego will have over your life.
Notice when you do things, do you do them to serve your heart and your Soul or you do them to prove something?
When your ego is big, you constantly feel the need to compare yourself to others. You may feel superior or inferior. When the connection to your heart is strong then you know that we are ALL ONE.
The ego speaks very loud and that’s why you tend to hear it first and feel pushed to take action. To hear your Soul, slow down and spend quiet time with yourself. Only in stillness you can hear the subtle voice of your Soul.
Empowering your ego kills your intuition. The more connected you are to your heart and your Soul, the more intuitive you become.
The ego is afraid of failure and it’s afraid of success, so either way you can’t please your ego.
The ego always wants to change things and can’t master the art of acceptance.
Imagine your ego like a little child who looks for approval and love. Simply acknowledge your ego without giving it power.
For your ego you will never be good enough, for your Soul you are perfect as you are.
Being in your head a lot also makes you feel like you have to feed your ego. Release the need to feed your ego unless you want your ego to grow. Bring your awareness and your attention to your body by focusing on your breathing. Notice how your body feels right now. When you are more connected to your heart and your Soul you may find it easier to ignore your ego.
Being detached from the outcomes will definitely not support your ego. The Soul shows strength and the ego shows weakness. The ego will never be able to forgive and forget. Practice forgiveness and letting go to strengthen your connection to your Soul. The more you do it, the easier will become.
Practice meditation to connect to your inner self. The more connected you are the easier it is to gently acknowledge your ego without giving it power.
