Can imagination be bias?

Our imagination loses balance when it clings only to the light or the shadow of every situation.

Let me explain.

I love coloured glass so so much! It lights me up and gets me all excited! 🥳
So when my hubby gifted me a glass fusing workshop for Christmas… I was thrilled.
I was super excited to attend it! Only when I got there and was told that I have to cut the glass (I don’t know what was it thinking 😆- I mean, I know- I was hoping to use pre-cut or broken glass pieces), I kind of panicked because I was afraid to cut my hands or have hard bits stuck on my hands.

After the initial panic, I had to take a few deep breaths, calm my fears and choose the design. Done. Came up with the design, chose the glass, and thankfully, the teacher helped me with the cutting part.

I love the finished piece and somehow, if I’m honest, a part of me felt a bit disappointed that I couldn’t enjoy the experience as much as I would have loved to!

I invite you to reflect on my experience and myself- to make a mental note 📒, because many times we have this idea that everything is all butterflies and unicorns, when in actual truth, everything has two sides like a coin.

My hubby, on the other hand, fully enjoyed the experience. He has a natural affinity for Piet Mondrian, and I’m happy his glass work came out really beautifully.
